Mark 11:24 KJV: Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
In order for you to receive whatsoever, you ask for in prayers, you must first believe. Take note of the order of things in our text Today. It says, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. So the only thing retraining your desires is your beliefs. What do you believe?
To believe is a choice. That choice must come from your background knowledge. So what do you know about God? The giver of that which you seek? Do you think he says yes sometimes and says no to your desires? You must understand that God is a giver and has placed that choice in your hands. It says whatsoever you desire, it means he trusts you enough to make the right decisions.
That battle of believing or not believing happens in your mind. That is why the Bible says to Renew your mind. Train your mind by studying his word and get to know his will for your life. And once you understand that he won’t refuse you anything, you will be confident enough to believe that have received it and it will be yours. Praise the Lord.
Declare to yourself loud: I believe that I have all I desire. Hallelujah.
Lord Jesus, I believe that you have answered even before I prayed and so I believe I have received what I ask of you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
