Isaiah 38:19 NCV: The people who are alive are the ones who praise you. They praise you as I praise you today. A father should tell his children that you provide help.
When we hear messages like our text today, what comes to the mind is physical death. That is only those who are alive in the physically are the ones who can praise God. But taking a closer look at it will help you appreciate what Christ has done for you and I. This message goes beyond physical death. It has everything to do with spiritual death.
When a man has not accepted Christ in his life, such a person has no life in him, in order words, he is spiritually dead and in sin and so cannot praise God. See what the scripture says in Ephesians 2:1, 5 NCV: “in the past you were spiritually dead because of your sins and the things you did against God. Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace.” This is in line with what the Bible says that no man can say Jesus is lord without the help of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3.
Therefore, we must appreciate Christ what given us the privilege to praise God having given us life through his death. Eternal life at that. So whether we are in this body here on earth or in the life to come, we will always praise God. The Lord is good. So praise him at all times and your life will be a wonderful experience.
Declare to yourself loud: I will praise you Lord at all times. I am alive in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah.
PRAYERS: Heavenly father, thank you for given us life so that we can praise you forever. Blessed be your holy name. In Jesus Name. Amen.
