Grace

Romans 5:17 CEV: Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that cannot compare with what Jesus Christ has done. God has treated us with undeserved grace, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like kings.

My beloved friend in Christ, the consequence of Adam’s sin was death to mankind. Since that fall, death ruled. Not just physical death but death in every aspect of man. From sickness to poverty to inability to connect with God. Men turned against themselves and do depraved things even to their own bodies. Man became a slave to sin; unable to save himself. Destined for eternal death in the lake of fire.

But Jesus came to man’s rescue. He gave up himself and restored man back to life. Gave man access to God, his creator. Because of this act, God has treated us with undeserved grace. For as many that belief in His son is now free and no longer a slave to sin or fear or sickness or poverty or depression or death.

We are now called to rule in this life and show others the way to life and freedom that is found in Christ. Seek out more about how to exercise your authority and begin to walk in it instead of giving in to all that threatens you in this life. Unless you exercise your authority, do not expect them (sickness, poverty, death of any kind) to submit to you. That’s why the word rule was used. To rule is to exercise authority and dominion over a matter or people, giving directions on how things should be.

God is with you as you do this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Declare to yourself loud: I will surely rule in this life over all that threatens me.

PRAYERS
Lord Jesus, help me to rule in this life overall that oppressed me in the past. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
