2 Timothy 3:11 ICB: You know how I have been hurt and have suffered. You know all that happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. You know the hurts I suffered in those places. But the Lord saved me from all those troubles.
When we go through certain troubles in life, it will seem as if we are the only ones going through such situations. We often cannot see how it will all come to an end or even conceive an exit strategy and so we will think it will last forever. This brings about depression and loss of hope in life or even God for those who are more liberal. Some make the mistake of feeling that because they are now born again, every trouble will disappear on its own. This is actually not true.
Paul in his letter to Timothy reminded him of the troubles he went through in different cities as he was carrying out the work of the Lord. He was a great Apostle yet he went through troubles. Note however his response during that trial. He said that he endured the troubles. And finally, the Lord Jesus Christ delivered him from all of it. This shows that Jesus is aware of whatever you are currently going through. And just like He delivered Paul, He will certainly deliver you because He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Never give up in the face of trials. They will certainly come our way. Endure for a while for we know that Jesus is with us. He Himself said that He will be with us even to the end of time. All you need to do is follow His leadings for He is our infallible guide in this life and the life to come. You are blessed.
Declare to yourself loud: I will endure trials for the sake of Christ.
Lord Jesus, strengthen me in times of tribulations. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
