Psalms 15:1-2 NLT: Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
My dear friend in Christ, the gospel of grace is not a license to misbehave. Many people assume that because Christ has died and forgiven us our sins, we can go ahead and misbehave. Many people care less about the words they say, they feel God is a merciful God and he understands when they do things that are contrary to his ways. Know this today that His mercy does not cancel His justice. He still demands that we should live according to His ways.
The death of Jesus is to free us from the power of sin and death and give us a new life. This life is expected to move us towards doing God’s will and His purpose for our lives here on earth. The major challenge is that we do not actually spend quality time with God in order for Him to teach us His ways. Hence we go about establishing our own ways and feeling that God will understand.
Decide today to follow the way of the Lord. Speaking the truth always in our dealings with our neighbors, avoid what we know is wrong and Live in peace with all men. This way, your life will be a living testimony to others who do not know God. Thereby bringing them to God through your Godly life. You are blessed.
Declare to yourself loud: I will follow the way of our Lord Jesus Christ and live a godly life.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for having given me sufficient grace to live a godly life here on earth. Help me not to look back. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
