1 Peter 5:8 NLT: Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

My dear friend in Christ, today’s message is pointing out to us that we have an enemy out there. He identified the enemy as the devil. When you do not know who your enemy is, you will certainly be fighting a lost battle. Thank God for identifying who the enemy is to us. We have been misled in time past about who our enemies are while the real culprit is out there.

Today you must stand up against every activity of the devil in your family, your career, your health, your academics, your relationship with your fellow men and with God. If you do not resist him, he won’t flee from you. That is why the Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7. Do not be misled by thinking that your enemy is your neighbor, family or friends. The devil can use anyone that is vulnerable to actualize his mission to frustrate your life. Don’t ever assume that the death of Christ, has put an end to the plot of the devil over God’s children. He rather gave us the ability to overcome the devil using His name.

Remember that the devil actually used Judas (who was vulnerable) to actualize his mission on Jesus in John 13:27. Jesus was aware of it but He allowed him (the devil) to go ahead in order for the scriptures to be fulfilled. However in another instance, Jesus did not allow him (the devil) because He rebuked the devil when he (the devil) tried to use Peter to stop His work in Luke 4:8. If you allow the devil, he will mess with your life but if you stand against him in the name of Jesus, he will stand no chance against you.

Declare to yourself loud: my body, soul and spirit is alert against every activity of the wicked.

PRAYERS POINTS

  1. Oh Lord my God, I command every activity of the wicked in my life to be destroyed.
  2. I decree that I am alert and will not be taken unaware by the plans of the devil.
  3. I command total restoration of anything the devil has stolen in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
  4. Please add your personal intentions.
