Trust what He says!

Acts 23:11 NLT: That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, “Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.”

My dear friend in Christ, there is a need for us to exercise our spirit to always hold on to whatever the Lord is saying. We must also realize that He can speak to us in diverse ways. In our text today, He decided to speak to Paul in a vision.

If you read the account further down the chapter, you will understand that the words He (Jesus) spoke to Paul, was Paul’s guiding statement. Persecution came afterwards, seeking to take his life but he was not afraid because the Lord had already spoken to him about where he must go and preach.

This message from the Lord also gave Paul an idea of where to appeal his case. He chose appeal his case before Ceaser knowing that it will end him in Rome, exactly where the Lord wanted him to preach the gospel. So his arrest was not about him but about fulfilling the Lord’s will.

I don’t know what you are going through now, or what the Lord has told you. However, if you sit back and reflect on it, you might just discover that all things are working out for your good in order to bring to past God’s word in your life. Therefore, always trust whatever He says for it will surely come to past. Shalom.

Declare to yourself loud: I will hold on to your word.

  1. Spirit of the Living God, may I not give up on your word until I see the result of your plans for me, Jesus’ name. Amen.
