The Lord is my strength!

2 Timothy 4:17 NLT: But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.

My dear friend in Christ, if you read the preceeding verse of this scripture, you will notice that Paul was abandoned by fellow believers during the time of his travail. This is exactly what is happening sometimes in the body of Christ today. However, Paul wasn’t holding it against them. That was wisdom at work.

As a result, Jesus came along, stood with him and strengthened him. This is to enable him continue the work of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Preaching the gospel is the primary reason why we are sent as God’s witnesses. Therefore anything that seeks to stop you is antichrist. At that point, be rest assured that Jesus will never leave you.

Therefore, I encourage you to find strength in the Lord Jesus to continue in the work of preaching the goodnews. Have it in mind that some will abandon you at some point especially those you trust. However, do not be discouraged knowing that it can happen. In addition, God will deliver you from your challenges just as He delivered Paul today. Shalom.

Declare to yourself loud: the Lord is my strength.

  1. My Lord and my God, continue to strengthen me in times of trials, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
  2. Please add your personal intentions.
