The Lord shall reward your service!

Matthew 20:1‭-‬2 NLT: “For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the landowner who went out early one morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work.

My dear friend in Christ, there is no service that you render for the sake of the kingdom of God that goes unrewarded. Jesus pointed this out in the parable in today’s text. Notice the terminologies used. The landowner hired workers. Meaning that they will be paid at the end of the work. The kingdom of God is also in need of workers. Those who are ready to advance the cause of the gospel with their time and talents.

Unfortunately, not many realize that the kingdom of God needs workers. Some assume that once they are born again, they are to only focus on going to heaven and strictly concentrate on performing their religious activities. Jesus himself declares that the harvest is rich but the laborers are few. What are you doing with your precious time? Are you willing to deploy it for the work of the kingdom? Or are you already doing that? Then be encouraged knowing that your reward is certain.

Be kind enough to spend time with God in His word, and on a daily basis, share God’s word with someone. You can even begin by sharing this devotional message with your loved ones. That way, you will be sharing the goodnews of the kingdom. God bless you as you volunteer to work in the Lord’s vineyards. Shalom.

Declare to yourself loud: Christ is my reward.

  1. My Lord and my God, help me to see you as my exceeding great reward, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
  2. Please add your personal intentions.
