Ecclesiastes 2:11 NIV: Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.
My dear friend in Christ, the above text clearly defines a life without God. It does not matter what you have toiled to achieve, it does not matter your reputation or class in the society, everything is meaningless without God. Suddenly, you will leave everything behind at your death taking nothing without you as you journey to the land of the great beyond.
This is God’s design. He is the reason for our existence. If the purpose of something is lost, that thing becomes useless. Many deceive themselves with what they have and are. They become utterly foolish to realize that it does not take anything for their creator to call them back home. No wonder the Bible says that the fools say in their hearts that there is no God. Psalms 14:1.
If you are reading this message now, and you have not developed a strong relationship with your God, you still have the opportunity to do so. Stop chasing the wind and remember the Lord your God and what He wants you to do in this life before you go back to Him. Do not waste your opportunity. In all you do, place God above everything else. Let Him be your inspiration for living. Shalom.
Declare to yourself loud: Father, you are all that matters.
1. My Father and my God, make me know the shortness of my life, that I may gain the wisdom of the heart.
2. Precious Holy Spirit, continue to be my inspiration, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
3. Please add your personal intentions.
