Matthew 15:13‭-‬14 NLT: Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted,  so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”

My dear friend in Christ, you must have wondered why some people who claim to be belivers engage in dubious things that seek to malign the image of the body of Christ. The answer is not far fetched. They were planted by Satan (the enemy) inside the church in a bid to deceive others and pull them away from the Lord by their actions.

There are many today that have stopped fellowshiping with the brethren in church because of the actions of those they regard as fathers or leaders in the faith. Their actions make them wonder if the gospel being preached is for real. They do things that are contrary to what they preach and the word of God. Jesus is reminding all today that a day is coming when God will uproot every plant that is not planted by him. On that day, all who belong to God will be separated from others who are not of him.

Therefore, do not be surprised at what you will encounter in the body of Christ (the church) by some people. Know that the enemy is at work. Stay focused. Do all you can not to join them because they are blind and will certainly lead you to their destruction. When one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch. Pray also for believers all over the world, that God will preserve them from the devil’s trap.

Declare to yourself loud: I will not be led astray by blind people.

1. Oh Lord my God, guide your children and expose every deceiver in the name of a believer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Please add your personal intentions.
