2 Timothy 3:12 NLT: Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
My dear friend in Christ, we are reminded today of what it will cost to live a godly life in Christ. The question is this: are you ready to live a godly in Christ? It requires you to let go of the very things you love to do. Secondly, those around you, who are not happy with the new life you have chosen, will certainly work against you to frustrate your efforts in walking in the ways of the Lord.
Your family may even turn against you, some business partners who know that you will not subscribe to their evil ways will not want to associate with you and so on. The devil will also not rest in trying your faith and trust in God. He will haul temptations at you. Making feel that God has abandoned you. But don’t ever give up.
Jesus made us a promise before leaving the earth. He promised never to leave us or forsake us. John 14:18. He also said that in this world, we will suffer persecution, but we should be of good cheer, He has overcome the world. John 16:33
Declare to yourself loud: I will never give up on God.
Lord Jesus, be my strength in times of tribulations. In Jesus Name. Amen.
