1 Timothy 4:16 NET: Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
My dear friend in Christ, people generally say:” do what I say but don’t do what I do”. This is the wrong philosophy. What you say and what you do must match each other otherwise it means that you are a fraud. Today’s message clearly states that you should watch how you live (what you do) and how you teach (what you say). Don’t say what you don’t mean. Rather mean everything you say and let your word be your bond.
If you are telling others about anything that is wrong, don’t engage in it yourself no matter the excuse. The Bible reminds us today that if we watch what we say and do, we will end up saving ourselves and those who listen to us. Notice that the Bible says those who are listening to you. As many that fail to listen or believe, they are far away from being saved
Declare to yourself loud: my word is my bond.
1. Oh Lord my God, cause me to diligently observe and do your word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Please add your personal intentions.
