Hebrews 6:15 CEV: Then after Abraham had been very patient, he was given what God had promised.
My dear friend in Christ, I don’t know what you really want God to do for you or His promises concerning your life, but I want you to know that you must develop the ability to be patient by the help of the Holy Spirit. Our generation has made it look like being patient is not being smart. So they invent ways to FastTrack the entire process of what you want to achieve. They do it without recourse to what God really wants.
Today we see Abraham, having being patient with God, received what God has promised him. God made a promise to bless him with a child but it took 25 long years before he received the promised child. Abraham tried to FastTrack the process through the advice of his wife but we know the rest of the story of how it all turned out.
I know it’s not easy to wait. I also know that some delays are orchestrated by the enemy. But we must always seek divine directions from God through the Holy Spirit. By doing that, we will be at peace with ourselves because we know for sure that God is doing something great we are yet to see. Resist every temptation to FastTrack God’s promises in your life. Simply stay in His presence in the study of the word and prayers and I assure you that you will testify.
Declare to yourself loud: I will wait upon you my God.
- Lord Jesus, teach me to be patient.
- Oh Lord my God, remove every temptation to seek shortcuts in times of delay.
- Precious Holy Spirit, take over my life and strengthen me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
- Please add your personal intentions.
