Mark 4:17 NLT: But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.

My dear friend in Christ, have you ever shared the message of Christ with someone who was excited about the message you shared, only for such a fellow to draw back and forsake the way of the Lord? It is simply because the message has no roots in such a person and the challenges of life has made the person abandon the way of the Lord. Also, have you ever doubted the word of God concerning your situation to a point where you wanted to sought for alternatives? If yes, the word is yet to be rooted in you.

Today’s message is an eye opener for everyone. You must follow up new converts and ensure that they are rooted in the word of God which you introduced to them. In addition, you are also expected to study more of the word until it finds its root in you. At that point, it won’t matter the level of trial that comes your way, you will find your standing by the word of God.

It is easy to say that you are strong in the word until you are put under the heat of the challenges of life. Be humble enough and submit yourself to further study and guide on the word of God. You cannot have more than enough of the word because it is inexhaustible. I encourage you to dig deep into the word of by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Declare to yourself loud: I must be rooted in the word of God.

  1. Precious Holy Spirit, my teacher and guide, open my heart to understand the word and and be deeply rooted in it, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
