Proverbs 16:6 KJV: By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

My dear friend in Christ, do not be deceived by those who tell you that all is well even when you misbehave and sin against God and that grace has covered it. From our text today, you can see that only by mercy and truth is iniquity purged. If you refuse to acknowledge your sins before God hoping that grace has covered it, you are not only lying to yourself, you are stopping yourself from obtaining forgiveness from God.

God cannot and will never tolerate any act of disobedience to His word. Paul writing said shall we continue in sin so that grace will abound. Romans 6:2. In another scripture, the bible says that ” You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it; you find mercy by admitting and leaving them.”
Proverbs 28:13 MSG. Learn to admit when you go wrong before God, then, the forgiveness which Christ has purchased for you will be credited to you. Do not admit them with a mindset of going back to them, you won’t find mercy that way. It is one thing to make mistakes which is natural to every man, it is another thing to deliberately violate God’s laws hoping that mercy will speak for you. That would be injustice and God cannot be found in injustice.

Watch your actions, they matter before God. Do your best to align with the Holy Spirit to guide you for you cannot do it without His help. Many do not fear God anymore simply because He does not send fire and destruction immediately when we violate His laws. The Bible is reminding us today that by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. Have the fear of God in you. I call you blessed.

Declare to yourself loud: I live by the mercy of God.
