Exodus 14:13‭-‬14 NCV
: But Moses answered, “Don’t be afraid! Stand still and you will see the Lord save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again after today. You only need to remain calm; the Lord will fight for you.”

Still on the topic: “Don’t be afraid”, we see Moses in our text today telling the people of Israel to be calm and not be afraid; that the lord will fight for them. They were afraid of the Egyptians who were fast approaching their camp to take them captive again and also the Red sea right in front of them; hence nowhere to run. In such a situation, anyone in his right senses will be afraid but we see God telling them to be calm and not be afraid.

I don’t know how grave what you are worried about is, or how complicated the situation is: I say to you: be calm; for your, God will fight for you and rescue you and turn the situation around in your favor. Reading on in the storyline, we saw what God did to rescue the people of Israel: Then Moses held his hand over the sea. All that night the Lord drove back the sea with a strong east wind, making the sea become dry ground. The water was split, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry land, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

A way was made for them right in the midst of the challenge. So it will be for you. Right in the middle of your challenge and predicaments, a way will be made for you. Trust in him only and you will see his wonders. I call you blessed.

Declare to yourself loud: I will praise you Lord for you have rescued me. Hallelujah.

Heavenly Father, thank you for you have rescued me. I receive courage never to be afraid again. In Jesus Name. Amen.
