James 2:26 AMP: For just as the [human] body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works [of obedience] is also dead.

My dear friend in Christ, the Bible is reminding us today that faith is only made alive when there is a corresponding action alongside. The advent of hyper grace messages have made some people feel that Jesus has done it all and so there is no longer need for much work. This is an error. You cannot claim to love God and believe in Him while you go around doing the very things He does not approve or better still ignoring what He wants you to do especially to advance the gospel.

Before Jesus left, He gave us a command to go into the world and proclaim the Goodnews. Mark 16:15. If will fail to act in line with this mandate of going to tell others about the Goodnews, where is your faith in what he did for you. He mandated us to love one another. If you continue to be wicked to your fellow men, how then do you show that you believe in Him. He wants us to pray at all times when He said men ought always to pray and not to faint. Luke 18:1. If you are lazy in praying or not even praying at all, where then is your faith. It is obvious that you must demonstrate your faith through your actions so that the name of the Lord Jesus might be glorified. Shalom.

Declare to yourself loud: I will demonstrate my faith through my actions of obedience to your word oh Lord.

  1. Lord Jesus, teach me obedience to the father.
  2. If there is any hidden pride in me, causing me to disobey, oh lord remove it from me.
  3. Precious Holy Spirit, I submit my will to you for the glory of your name. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
  4. Please add your personal intentions.
