2 Corinthians 9:7, 13 NCV: Each of you should give as you have decided in your heart to give. You should not be sad when you give, and you should not give because you feel forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily. It is a proof of your faith. Many people will praise God because you obey the Good News of Christ—the gospel you say you believe—and because you freely share with them and with all others.
My dear friend, giving is part of the believer’s life. We give as believers cheerfully and freely and not out of compulsion. God loves a cheerful giver. Don’t give because you want to receive, rather give in Thanksgiving for what God has given you. For all we have is from God and so when we give, we are demonstrating the character of our God.
We give also to demonstrate our belief in the gospel and also our proof of the faith we have in God to always supply all our needs according to his riches in Glory. The system of this world believes that the more we give, the less we have but God’s system is that the more we give, the more we have. Belief in God’s system is our demonstration of faith in what he says. He is wiser than all and his words are true from generation to generation.
I encourage you to trust in his words to give just as he gave to us and greater measure will be given to you until it overflows. Amen.
Declare to yourself loud: I will give with joy all the time. Hallelujah.
Lord Jesus, I recieve grace and courage to give as you have freely given to us. In Jesus Name. Amen.
