2 Peter 1:9 CEV: But if you don’t grow, you are like someone who is nearsighted or blind, and you have forgotten that your past sins are forgiven.
My dear friend in Christ, to grow in the kingdom is a Choice you must make. You must decide that it’s time to grow by desiring and feeding on the sincere milk of the word of God. 1 Peter 2:2. So do not assume that it’s automatic and will come when it will. Just as the scriptures say today, if you don’t grow or refuse to grow, you are like someone who is spiritually blind. Some people are so comfortable at their current level and they don’t want a change. They literally resist growth and development.
Refusal to grow also shows that one has forgotten the transformation that happened when one received salvation; which is the forgiveness of sins amongst others. You now have a new life, my dear friend. Grow according to this life that you have received from God. Let the growth be seen in your lifestyle. Do your best to improve your faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. 2 Peter 1:5-7 CEV
As you do this, grace will continue to abound in you in Jesus Name. Amen.
Declare to yourself loud: I am growing in the knowledge of Christ.
Lord Jesus, may my life have a positive impact on my generation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
