veil

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT: So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

My dear friend in Christ, today’s text reminds us that it is impossible to understand the word of God without Christ. There is a veil that covers the hearts of men that prevents them from understanding the truth that is written in the word of God. No wonder some who feel that they are intellectually sound, read the Bible, and yet don’t understand the truth therein. It’s not about you and there is nothing you can do to understand except you subject yourself under the authority of Christ.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:14‭-‬15 “But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.”

From the above scripture, it is obvious that only in Christ will the veil be removed so that we can see the truth of the word of God and be transformed. We will then become like him. Living a victorious life as He did. It is not a function of how long you have been in church, or read the Bible. Your life will not be transformed unless the veil is removed. It’s a spiritual issue. You cannot see the veil with your eyes. Allow Christ to remove it for you so that you don’t go through this life frustrated and lost. God bless you.

Declare to yourself loud: I am changing into the glorious image of Christ.
