John 11:4 NLT: But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.”
My dear friend in Christ, we live in a world where challenges are encompassing around us every moment. Our reaction to it is what defines who we are. Jesus in our text today heard about the health challenge of his friend Lazarus. Instead of painting a negative picture or speaking negatively about the issue, He saw the glory of the Lord that will be revealed as a result of the challenge.
We are called upon to look beyond the challenges we are facing. Know that there is a God that is bigger than that challenge. If there are no challenges, what will you testify about that the Lord has done? Only those who go through challenges and come out victorious are celebrated.
Whatever your challenge is today, I dare you to look at the challenge and declare that my God is bigger than you. Believe in your heart that the glory of God will be seen at the end. Refuse to believe every lie of the enemy. He will make you feel that you may not survive or you will experience shame and disgrace. The enemy will even accuse you of being the cause of the challenge. But hear me, child of God; no matter whose fault it is, God is willing to intervene. He will surely glorify Himself through that challenge and you will be celebrated. I call you blessed.
Declare to yourself loud: my God is able.
1. Oh Lord my God, may I never be overwhelmed by the challenges of life. Always stand by me to pull me through, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Please add your personal intentions.
