3 John 1:5-8 MSG: Dear friend, when you extend hospitality to Christian brothers and sisters, even when they are strangers, you make the faith visible. They’ve made a full report back to the church here, a message about your love. It’s good to work you’re doing, helping these travelers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth.
My beloved friend in Christ, you are called today to make the faith that you professed visible through your actions; especially towards your neighbors and those who you do not even know. You don’t have to turn a blind eye to a brother in need or wait for a special appeal for help before you render one.
The same applies to other areas of our life’s such as business, health, education, relationship, and others. Make your faith visible in these areas through your actions. Heal the sick, mend relationships that are hurting, help those in need of educational support and help so on. Do all these as much as you can. And men will see your faith and praise your Father in heaven.
Declare to yourself loud: I will make my faith visible through my actions. Hallelujah.
Lord Jesus, you went about doing good when you were on earth as man, I believe you are with me always as I do the work you assign me to do. In Jesus Name. Amen.
