Ephesians 1:17 AMPC: [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him.
The knowledge of him is all we need to navigate this life. And without the spirit of wisdom and revelation, it is impossible to know or even understand him. This is why our brother Paul never cease to pray for the brethren.
The spirit of wisdom and revelation will enable you to have insights into mysteries and secretes concerning the Lord Jesus, events around us. Wisdom is different from knowledge. Wisdom is the application of knowledge. Invariably, what you do with the knowledge you acquire is where wisdom lies. In between wisdom and knowledge is understanding. If you don’t understand the knowledge you are acquiring, you cannot apply wisdom. It is when you have understood the knowledge you have acquired, you will now know how to apply it to your benefit.
Therefore, pray earnestly that God almighty will grant you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. And also grant you understanding. The bible says “..Wisdom is the principal thing. In all thy getting, therefore get wisdom. Get understanding also” Proverbs 4:7
Declare to yourself loud: I walk in wisdom! I walk in Revelation. Hallelujah.
Lord Jesus, grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. In Jesus Name. Amen.
