1 Corinthians 14:4 NLT: A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church.
We all need strength from above to carry on in this life. Life is full of strength-draining events on a daily basis and when you run out of strength, you give up. You become weak and vulnerable. Hence, the need to be strengthened all the time by the spirit of the highest God.
Our text today clearly shows that by praying in the spirit always, you are personally strengthened by the spirit. The Bible says that it is not by power, it is not by might but by my spirit says the Lord. Zachariah 4:6
I encourage you to take praying in the spirit seriously. Pray as the spirit give you utterance.
Note that the enemy (devil) will do everything to discredit you and ensure that you don’t find time or reason to pray in the spirit. Make sure you resist the devil and it will flee from you. For when you pray in the spirit, you speak only to God; for no one can understand you except God. You are blessed!
Declare to yourself loud: I am strengthened by the spirit of the living God. Hallelujah.
Spirit of the living God, give me utterance even as I speak your word. In Jesus Name. Amen.
