2 Corinthians 5:16 NLT: So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!
My dear friend in Christ, we must realize that we are highly limited as humans. Therefore if we try to judge things or see things from a human perspective, we will definitely run into an error. There is no room for error when it comes to the things of God. Many evaluate others only through the human point of view. The Jews did the same thing to Jesus. They never saw Him beyond the carpenter’s son who grew up among them. They knew His mother, brothers, and sisters. Hence, they found it very hard to believe who He said He was.
When He died and rose again on the third day, they began to believe that truly He is the messiah. Some never believed to this day. The Bible today shows that the Apostles have come to know Him better now than before. From a Human perspective, it doesn’t make sense to call a sinner who has just accepted Jesus as his Lord and Master a righteous person. But we are who God says we are. We don’t judge by human evaluations but by God’s standard.
Don’t allow anyone to cast aspersions on you about who you are not. You are who God says you are. It does not matter what the world thinks about you. You are blessed.
Declare to yourself loud: I am who God says I am.
Lord Jesus, may I always see and evaluate others as you would see and evaluate them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
