Acts 2:44 NLT: And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
My dear friend in Christ, the early church had a tradition of sharing whatever they had with one another. No one claimed everything to himself. They saw each other as one family in the body of Christ. This was possible because they allowed the love of Christ to flow through them. Notice the statement “allowed”. God can never force Himself on any man. His love must be allowed to flow through you. You can decide to allow it or refuse it.
Sadly in our world today, we see the opposite of this tradition of sharing everything with one another because many have refused to allow the love of Christ to flow through their hearts. This is predicated from the fact that man is becoming increasingly malicious and wicked due to the lack of love of Christ in their hearts. Everyone wants things only for their benefits. Others can go and die as far as they are concerned.
This season is the season where we show love by sharing what we have with others. Irrespective of the nature of man being wicked, we must find a middle ground to continue to express this love of Christ to the world. Allow the love of Christ to guide you. Be an example of what Christ would have done in the same circumstance. Don’t allow evil to reign, rather overcome evil with good.
Declare to yourself loud: I will share what I have with others.
Heavenly Father, may your love flow through me that I may willingly share what I have with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
