EPHESIANS 1:17 AMP: [I always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son].
My dear friend in Christ, many people have made several attempts to know God in an intimate capacity but did not succeed. The more they try, the more confusing it becomes for them. This is because no one knows him except the Son who reveals the truth about God to us. He himself said that the world cannot know him. They come up with several assumptions about God and has led him to different schools of thought about who God is.
But Paul knew better, that only he can reveal himself to us. This is why Paul in his letter to the People of Ephesus, prayed for God to grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. That is a deep, personal and intimate insight into the true nature of God. If there is a true knowledge of God, there is also false knowledge of him based on human assumptions.
I encourage you, my dear friend, to always pray for greater revelations and insights into the true knowledge of God and grow in it. And it’s only by the help of the spirit of God. That way, you will understand what he wants you to do and his purpose for your life here on earth.
Declare to yourself loud: I receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Hallelujah.
Heavenly Father, grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, that I may walk always in the purpose for which you created me. In Jesus Name. Amen.
