Titus 3:13 NLT: Do everything you can to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos with their trip. See that they are given everything they need.

My dear friend in Christ, today’s text pointed out a man whose profession did not stop him from actively participating in the work of the ministry. His name is Zenas. He worked closely with Apollos and Titus admonished the people to take good care of them and their needs as they carryout the work of God.

You are here in this world not to be anything but to serve God. You are not here to become a lawyer, a banker, a teacher, a doctor etc. They are all good but they are actually a platform for you to preach the gospel and witness for Christ. When you are deceived into thinking that all that matters is for you to focus only on your profession and rise to the pinnacle of it, then you will be lost. When death comes calling perhaps at your old age, you will suddenly discover that you did nothing for God while you were young and working. And at that point you cannot do much again and most people end up with regrets.

Today’s message is a sharp reminder that your primary duty is to dedicate your life and your profession to the service of God. Ensure that you take God first and not your profession. Only God can last you a lifetime and after life. Your profession will only end here and its temporal. Why spend all your energy and time on what will not last. That is the height of deception and many have fallen for it. Child of God, wake up and make a decision today to allow God use you through your profession to bless the lives of His people while you are still alive. I call you blessed.

Declare to yourself loud: my profession is secondary to God’s work.

PRAYER POINTS
