Isaiah 40:31 NKJV: But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Today’s text reminds us of the need to wait on the Lord. To wait on the Lord is to hope, trust and believe that God will do what He says He will do. The challenge is our attitude during the waiting period. Many do nothing while waiting. Others complain about the situation consistently and even say words that express hopelessness. In many cases we are usually presented with varieties of alternatives by the devil to make us loose sight of God.

But hear this child of God: in your waiting period, keep reaffirming the love of God for you. Look at the great things He has done for you in the past and use it to have confidence in Him that He will not change and He will do what He says He will do. Keep yourself busy in the study of the word and prayer as you wait. Only then will your strength be renewed. You will also find courage to withstand the challenges you currently face. I call you blessed.

Declare to yourself loud: I will wait on you oh Lord.

My Father and my God, may I never be weary as I wait on you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
