Mark 8:29 AMPC: And He asked them, But who do you yourselves say that I am? Peter replied to Him, You are the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
My dear friend in Christ, sometimes we get offended when we are being asked certain questions. Some people allow the evil one to put bad thoughts in them to feel that they are being insulted by the question being asked. Some will even react saying angrily “why should you ask me such a question?” Today, we see Jesus asking His Apostles who have been with Him for a while who they say He is. Does it mean that Jesus did not know what each of them think about Him? Thank God for Peter who summoned courage to answer. But guess what, he was divinely assisted from heaven.
Jesus had to point it out to him that it was His father in heaven that gave him such an answer. This should tell you that as a child of God, you can receive a divine answer to a question. So do not be afraid to attempt to answer. Always ask the Holy Spirit for divine answer. Moreover, unless you attempt to answer the same question Jesus asked His Apostles today, you may never know how much you know about Jesus.
I encourage you to ask yourself that question today. Who is Jesus to you. Do you have a personal revelation about Him? If you are not sure, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. His job is to make Jesus known to the world. The more you get to know Him, the more faith in Him you will have and the more victorious you will be in this life. I call you blessed.
Declare to yourself loud: I am willing to learn more about Jesus.
- Heavenly Father, make me willing to learn more about your son Jesus Christ.
- Precious Holy Spirit, teach me what to say whenever I am faced with a difficult question. In Jesus Name. Amen.
- Please add your personal intentions.
