Romans 8:23 NLT: And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.

My dear friend in Christ, I bring it to your attention that you are actually God’s adopted son through Jesus Christ. And God has given us the Holy Spirit as a foretaste of the great things He has for us. We are however limited by our own bodies, riddled with sin and sufferings. We do want we really don’t want to do or be part of it. And also we don’t do the very things that we know we are supposed to do for God. We are in constant struggle with our bodies as we relate with God and what He wants us to do.

This my dear friend is what God promised to remove and give us glorified bodies {new bodies) at the resurrection. Then we will be completely free to serve the Lord with all our being. No more limitations. We, therefore, wait eagerly for this promise to be fulfilled. As we wait, do your best to remain faithful to the faith that was handed over to you at the time of salvation. Don’t allow yourself to be ruled by your body, rather rule your body by the spirit. For those who live according to the flesh will die, but those who live according to the spirit will live. Romans 8:6. Praise God.

Declare to yourself loud: I am a child of God.

My Father and my God, help me to overcome the weakness of my flesh and be strengthened by your Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
