John 3:16 NCV “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.
It is important to note that Christ did not promise the believer a temporary life but eternal life not out of works but by believing in him. Some people have the view that unless you keep the laws of Moses, you will not be saved. This was recorded during the time of the early church. “Then some people came to Antioch from Judea and began teaching the non-Jewish believers: “You cannot be saved if you are not circumcised as Moses taught us.” Acts 15:1 NCV
But here was Peter’s response: At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows: “Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe. He made no distinction between us and them, for he cleansed their hearts through faith. We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts of the Apostles 15:7, 9-9, 11 NLT
Notice what Peter said, that there hearts were cleansed through FAITH. That is to say that your beliefs in the finished work of Christ sanctifies you completely.
Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you once you believe and you will know what to do at every point in your life. You don’t need any law for you to know what to do.
Declare to yourself loud: I am eternally saved. Hallelujah.
Lord Jesus, thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus Name. Amen.
